Frantisek Vitek and Vera Ricarova are a husband and wife team that were once part of the world famous Theater Drak; he as a gifted and renowned wood carver, she as one of their most talented performers. They describe Piskanderdula as "an antitheater installation piece about the metaphysics of movement." With an assemblage of simple, wooden puppets, found objects, and mechanical musical instruments, they explore the line between life and its absence, creating a tender and poetic tribute to the power of non-verbal communication.
