The Araneidae Show was originally created as a diploma piece for L¹Ecole Supérieur Nationale des Arts de la Marionette in Charleville-Mézières, France, promotion 1990-1993.

BASIL TWIST is a third generation puppeteer and the sole American to have been accepted into the prestigious Ecole Supérieur Nationale des Arts de la Marionette in Charleville-Mézières, France. Internationally and in the United States he has worked and performed with puppet artists Roman Paska, Julie Taymor, Theodora Skipitares, Janie Geiser, and at The Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts. His puppet cabaret creations can also be frequently seen on the stages of New York¹s downtown late night clubs.
