ROMAN PASKA has been presenting his solo performances with puppets since 1979. Under the collective title Theatre for the Birds, his two most recent plays, Line of Flight and Uccelli, The Drugs of Love, have been performed extensively in Europe, North America and Japan. The End of the World is the third in this series of "little mental dramas." In addition to his solo work, Mr. Paska has directed a number of productions with actors, musicians and puppets, including a recent mounting of Yeats, The Shadowy Waters at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. Current directing projects include Strindbergšs Ghost Sonata in Stockholm and an original adaptation of Lorcašs Yerma in Seville.
